Harriet Simpson
Harriet Simpson is a freelance writer and part-time examiner for GCSE and A-Level exams. She spends most of her time these days marking exam papers and watching the grey herons that fly past her apartment window.
Her chief delight comes in the shape of books, mostly made up ones, but the odd factual-information volume slips in too. She is particularly partial to the work of Terry Pratchett, Jasper Fforde, Donna Tartt and Susan Cooper.
She is trying to write a novel that isn't about birds ... but they keep swooping in amongst the pages in a very odd manner.
She write articles about novels, children's fiction, poetry, examinations and teaching.
